GNSS Machine Control

GNSS machine control combines positioning, machine geometry and design information. An accurate receiver position is not automatically an accurate cutting-edge position.

Confirm corrections, sensor arrangement and the coordinate reference.

Receiving operation and checks

Check the completed surface with an independent method. Inspect offsets, design revision and correction status when results disagree.

Compatibility must be confirmed for the actual machine and control installation.

Cut-and-Fill Grading

Cut-and-fill grading pairs a surplus at one location with a deficit at another. A balanced drawing does not necessarily balance truck or scraper loads because soil volumes change with excavation and compaction.

Classify material and identify cut and receiving areas.

Receiving operation and checks

Compact or prepare the placed material for its intended use. Reconcile levels and material quantities during the job.

Do not equate loose bucket capacity with compacted fill volume.

Dugong + GPS/GNSS Grading

Using Dugong with GPS/GNSS grading requires a complete positioning and implement-reference workflow. Antenna position must be related to the working edge and the issued surface design.

Receiving operation and checks

Survey or otherwise independently check the resulting grade. Record interruptions and the design revision used.

A tractor's navigation system alone does not establish scraper grade-control capability.

Record the job inputs

Use this checklist to turn the scenario into a specific brief. Retain the design revision and agree who accepts each completed layer.

• Existing condition, extent and the reason for intervention
• Required finished purpose, receiving operation and acceptance criteria
• Material type, layer role, source, receiving area and volume state
• Reference levels, datum, survey method and issued design revision
• Available tractor, implement configuration, travel route and turning space
• Checks before work, stopping points and evidence retained at handover
